Disaster Recovery Preparedness

Server Virtualization Solutions

  • Consolidate infrastructure, application, and branch office server workloads.  VMware vSphere is ideal for server consolidation in both the datacenter and the branch office, allowing IT staff to make more efficient use of their hardware resources.  It also allows IT staff to enhance their overall productivity and rapidly deploy new servers that enable the people in their organization to quickly address changing business needs.

  • Consolidate and re-host legacy applications. VMware enables re-hosting of legacy operating systems (example: Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows 2000 & 2003 Server) and their associated custom applications from older hardware to new hardware running Windows Server 2008.

  • Automate and consolidate software test and development environments.  VMware vSphere enables IT and development staff to consolidate their test and development server farm and automate the provisioning of virtual machines.

  • Simplify disaster and recovery planning.  VMware can be used as part of a disaster and recovery plan that requires application portability and flexibility across hardware platforms.

 

Help Center Solutions
Lorton, VA - TekEnabler is proud to be assisting Strayer University Online with rolling out FrontRange Solutions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Help Center products.  The first of many products to be installed was the FrontRange Solutions HEAT Service & Support helpdesk module.  Next, came the HEAT Self Service (HSS) module, which allows Strayer Online customers (Students, Instructors, Faculty, and staff) to easily track technical support requests via a web browser interface.  The iHEAT, Business Rules Manager (BRM), and Auto Ticket Generator (ATG) modules have also been successfully deployed.  Please read on to learn how TekEnabler is enabling Strayer Online to set the standard in providing premier customer support services:

Web Interface (form) which automatically creates tickets
Students can send email to create and/or update a ticket
Primary used by Students - though can be used by Staff as well

 

Automated Security Updates & Critical Patching Solution
Lorton, VA - TekEnabler utilizes the Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)patching solution, to ensure all customer computers (servers, workstations, and laptops)remain updated with the latest Microsoft security updates and critical patches.  WSUS enables information technology administrators to deploy the latest Microsoft product updates to all Microsoft operating systems.  By utilizing WSUS, TekEnabler is able to fully manage the distribution of updates to computers under our responsibility.  In today's environment, with the constant proliferation of Internet threats, this is absolutely critical.
